Preconstruction Manager
GPSI Carrollton, Texas, United States (On-site) – Full-time salaried position
We are seeking a highly skilled and process-oriented Pre-Construction Manager to raise the bar on our estimating and preconstruction capabilities. This is a critical leadership role in our growth strategy, responsible for bringing consistency, efficiency, and professionalism to our design-build and specialty construction work.
As GPSI expands its national footprint, this leader will oversee not only the preconstruction process but also be responsible for building the department, implementing best-in-class systems, and collaborating with our Design Studio, Engineering, and Construction teams to ensure accurate and proactive project delivery.
Hybrid options available with Travel as-needed.
- Design and implement scalable preconstruction workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and implement appropriate software platforms for estimating, bid tracking, and preconstruction coordination.
- Analyze RFPs, construction documents, and design progress sets to extract scope, risks, and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate RFIs and documentation alignment between internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce and update accurate cost estimates at every project phase: from conceptual to final bid.
- Maintain historical cost data and forecasting models to improve pricing precision and inform strategic decisions.
- Help coordinate value engineering efforts to align design intent with budget constraints.
- Build and manage a national database of qualified subcontractors.
- Develop bid packages, coordinate scope reviews, and lead bid leveling to ensure full scope coverage and risk mitigation.
- Team Development for department, recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performance preconstruction team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to train internal staff on estimating, constructability, and delivery model nuances.
- Work closely with design and operations leaders to ensure estimates align with GPSI’s preferred construction models (Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, CMAR).
- Adapt the estimating approach to the appropriate delivery model and client strategy.
- 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project engineering roles, preferably with a GC or specialty trade contractor in commercial construction.
- Strong background in design-build and collaborative project delivery models
- Demonstrated ability to build or scale preconstruction systems and teams
- Strong technical understanding of construction documents, performing quantity takeoffs, and mechanical systems
- Solid understanding of subcontractor scope, packaging, and national procurement strategy
- Experience with preconstruction and estimating software
- Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree preferred
- Prior experience with aquatic systems, fountains, or themed entertainment construction is a plus

Construction Project Manager

Seeking a construction project manager for a water feature design-build firm located in Carrollton, TX. GPSI is looking to add someone with relatable construction experience to the construction department. The candidate will be responsible for all phases of project management for various types of water features. The candidate should bring project management in construction experience with a knowledge of plumbing or a background in water features or pools. The candidate will be expected to work at the Carrollton office 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, with the flexibility to work remotely on occasion after an initial period of one year (or long enough to demonstrate proficiency).
Engineering Project Manager
GPSI Carrollton, Texas, United States (On-site) – Full-time salaried position
Seeking an engineering project manager for a water feature design firm located in Carrollton, TX. The company is a licensed engineering firm looking to add someone with technical knowledge to the engineering department. The candidate will primarily be responsible for designing MEP systems for various types of water features. Training will be provided to the right candidate on specific water feature design principles, but the candidate should have an engineering educational background and/or water feature or pool design background. The candidate will be expected to work at the Carrollton office 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, with flexibility to work remotely two days per week after an initial period of one year (or long enough to demonstrate proficiency).
- Develop sheet layout for drawing sets
- Perform hydraulic calculations (head losses, gravity pipe & channel flow, drainage, weir flow, etc.)
- Perform electrical calculations (amperage, wire sizes, voltage loss, breaker sizes, etc.)
- Select equipment, including pumps, filters, pipe sizes, lighting, etc.
- Utilize drafting software to produce design diagrams for water feature systems
- Utilize drafting software to produce equipment layouts and dimensional drawings
- Coordinate with construction department on means/methods of installation
- Review product submittals and RFIs for active construction projects
- Periodically visit jobsites to review quality and accuracy of installation
- Engineering educational background (preferably from accredited engineering program)
- Water feature or pool design experience
- Hydraulic design background
- PE, EIT, or interest in obtaining PE license
- AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or SolidWorks experience

Water Feature Designer

Seeking a designer for a Water Feature design firm located in Carrollton, TX. The company is looking to add someone with a creative background to the Design Department. The candidate will be responsible for helping develop Water Feature ideas and taking those ideas into Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents. Training will be provided, but the candidate should have an Architecture or Landscape Architecture education with a minimum of (2) years previous work experience in those fields.
The candidate will be expected to work at the Carrollton office 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Control Panel Designer

The Control Panel Designer will design and build control panels for a variety of pumping systems, assist with the installation of new panels on site, perform trouble shooting diagnostics and service to existing panels. GPSI (Greenscape Pump Services Inc.) is a registered engineering firm that specializes in design, construction, service, and maintenance of water features, aquatic splash playgrounds, water transfer, water recirculation, and irrigation pump stations. GPSI designs and fabricates UL508A Listed Industrial Control Panels to support the projects we design or build. Our Service, Care & Maintenance teams provide repair and diagnostic services for water features in Texas and surrounding states.
Fountain Maintenance Technician
GPSI Carrollton, Texas, United States (On-site)
We’re hiring full-time commercial water feature Care and Maintenance Technicians. Experience with pool or fountain maintenance is preferred but willing to train someone who is motivated to learn new things. This job requires that you are able and willing to drive a company-provided truck and availability to work weekends on a rotating schedule as well as overtime. Weekend work is typically 2-4 hours both Saturday and Sunday one weekend every 3 to 4 weeks. You will also need to be able to lift at least 50 lbs. This job can be labor intensive at times but overall isn’t too hard. We provide uniforms, water, and your time driving from job to job, and to and from our office is paid.
Hours worked are Monday to Friday starting at 6:30AM to when the work is finished for the day typically around 3:30PM.
Service Technician

This role is for our DFW Service division, we have a local team of experts that you will be working with to hone your skills. The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes new challenges. Must also have knowledge in Control Panel troubleshooting.
We design, install and service architectural water features. This position consists of going to client’s site and troubleshooting electrical issues with control panels, electric motors and lights. Knowledge of relay logic panels as well as programmable logic controllers (PLC) and operator interface panels highly desirable. Knowledge of DMX systems for lighting. Knowledge of single phase and three phase motor operation and troubleshooting and their controls.
