Project Description

The new Fort Worth Museum of Science and History building was designed by architects Legorreta + Legorreta and is located in Fort Worth’s Cultural District. The building will face the Will Rogers Memorial Center to the east and opens onto a broad plaza that will connect the museum with the Will Rogers Center and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. The fountain has two water weirs that flow into a lower linear fountain basin lined with pebbles and a stainless steel negative edge. The fountain pumps and controls, filtration and water treatment equipment are located in an equipment room. The fountain weir effects are illuminated with underwater lighting and are operational during regular museum hours.
