111 Congress

At Fareground at 111 Congress in Austin, an interactive plaza water feature blends vertical stainless steel poles, integrated fog nozzles, and base lighting to create a dynamic and immersive focal point. The slender poles, ranging from 20 to 30 feet tall, rise from a programmable deck and emit shifting patterns of illuminated vapor, with the mist sourced from condensation collected from the building’s air conditioning system. Set within the active outdoor food hall environment, the feature enhances the pedestrian experience by introducing movement, cooling, and ambiance, while its vibrant nighttime presence draws people in and reinforces the site as a social destination.
