Kimbell Art Museum

Architect Louis I. Khan won an award for the building’s design. A series of arched glass ceilings were used to allow light into the building’s interior enhancing the museum’s collection. The Water Feature did not fall short of enhancing the architecture. It blended with the architecture in a subtle and elegant way. The two-tier reflection pools reflect the arched architecture with stout columns, while the curved sheer water descent mirrors the curved forms found on the building’s structure. The sound of falling water is heard from a distance and draws visitors to sit by its boundaries.
